Background to Emily Hepworth
Emily Hepworth is a three times RHS Chelsea flower show medallist for her works of floral art. A florist for nearly 14 years Emily started in the flower industry at the young age of 10. Working her way through the different methods of floral design working for a local florist she gained significant experience on the job learning her trade. Emily has both level 3 and 4 Diplomas in floristry gained at college alongside her BSc degree in Nutrition and is currently working towards her British Masters in floristry. With such a lot of experience at such a young age Emily started her own business Persephone Violet in 2014 mainly specialising in weddings and events. In 2017 Emily relocated her business to Malmesbury high street into the shop that she spent a lot of her youth learning her trade. The shop means a great deal to Emily as she has come full circle back to where she began her journey into flowers.
Emily has many accolades such as a bronze and two silver medals at Chelsea, she has been named 3 times young entrepreneur of the year at the Cirencester Chamber of Commerce awards and is the south west florist ambassador looking after other florists within the region and building a florist community.
Emily employs a small team of floral elves who help with the day to day running of the shop. Prior to running her business in the high street Emily worked alone in the business. Since opening the shop Emily now has a team 4 florists who support her with all things shop! Don’t forget to ask questions Emily will be more than happy to answer any you might have.
