Guitarist Michael Joseph Harris writes and performs music inspired by legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt under the band name Ultrafaux, and is lead guitarist for Hot Club of Baltimore which performs the traditional hot jazz repertoire. Harris’ recordings have been featured for 3 consecutive years on Jon Larsen’s Django Festival, an annual compilation of top international gypsy jazz artists. Ultrafaux has performed at The Kennedy Center, Django By The Sea, Djangoary Festival, Django Birthday Festival Asheville, Napa Valley Jazz Society, Django-A-Gogo, Charm City Django Jazzfest, Midwest Gypsy Swingfest, and Festival Django Reinhardt in France to name a few. Harris has produced 6 full length albums in only 4 years and is currently producing a documentary film about the annual Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival in Baltimore which he founded in 2014.
Lewis Dickenson is a local, talented multi instrumentalist who performs all over the UK and has toured the UK & Ireland, US and Europe playing a wide variety of venues, festivals, clubs, genres and instruments. Although he initially started playing guitar, he will be joining us on double bass, laying down solid rhythms, intricate grooves and even some dexterous solo’s all with that hot club feel that Paris in the 1930’s is so famous for.
